Hi everyone,

We have received an invitation from the organisers of the Urban Photo Race in Amsterdam to take part in this year’s edition.

Here is a description of this event:

“Part photojournalism part treasure hunt, the Urban Photo Race is a one ­day digital photo contest. We set
you up to look at the city in a different way, discover the details and secrets of Amsterdam and meet other
savvy photographers, while using your creativity to translate themes into photos.
Themes are disclosed during the day at different checkpoints. In the final checkpoint we gather together for
the photo submission and to relax, enjoy and connect after an intense, challenging but especially
inspirational day.
Some time later, we hold an exhibition and awards event where participants can share their race
experiences and see the winning photos.
How does it work?
Themes are disclosed by the Urban Photo Race team at 3 designated checkpoints throughout the day.
Photographers must make it to all checkpoints on time to receive themes and directions to the next
checkpoint. From each theme, participants need to make 3 photos, allowing the participants to play around
with their own interpretations, telling a small story or connecting their pictures the way they prefer.”
